Founded in 1988 by Mr. Paul P.C. Cheng with superior casting know-how, Gatetech is one of the very professional caasting suppliers in Aluminum Alloy parts and Magnesium Alloy parts; There are more than 600 employees by the 1st Quarter of 2012, expect to reach 1000 employees by 2012 Q4; Current capital is around US$11 million as of January 2012; At the primary stage, Gatetech is involved in the automobile parts and mainly in the field of aluminum casting. Gatetech penetrates the market into computer peripherals, communication and home high-tech appliances since 2000.; Invested in the R&;D of Magnesium casting alloy parts since 1996.; Capabilities of tool R&D, casting and the secondary surface treatment, including the CNC, drilling, shot blasting, coating and cosmetics, are all included in the service team of GATETECH TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATE.

History
1988	Established Gatetech Industrial in Taoyuan.
1989	Aluminum Die-casting production started.
1991	CNC Machining started.
1996	Research the technology for Magnesium Die-casting.
1998	1.Gain ISO9002 Certificate 2.Magnesium Die-casting production started. 3.Starting with 3C products.
1999	Change name “ Gatetech Technology Inc.".
Aug 1999	Invested in Fluxless Magnesium Recycle Ingot know-how plan sponsored by the MOEA, Industry Bureau.
May 2000	Capital Increase to US$13 Million
Jun 2000	Quan-Yin Plant & 6 Magnesium Casting Machines established.
Dec 2000	Surface treatment in Quan-Yin Plant completed.
Mar 2001	Magnesium Recycle Ingot developed and released for mass production.
May 2001	Coating Line in Quan-Yin Plant completed. Whole process integrated, including casting, machining, surface treatment, coating and assembly.
Jul 2001	Capital Increase to US$15 Million
Jul 2001	VMDS developed with MOEA sponsorship on Casting mold design & integrated analysis, reducing developing lead time and yield-increase.
Oct 2001	DET NORSKE VERITAS QS-9000 Certified.
Jul 2002	Capital Increase to US$16.5 Million
Sep 2002	3 Air-mixed integrated system developed with Taiwan Patent No. 163991.
2003	Plan China Taicang (Suzhou) plant.
Nov 2003	Magnesium Casting Furnace Structure is approved with Taiwan Patent No.191318.
Mar 2004	Capital Increase to US$18.5 Million
2005	China Taicang (Suzhou) plant 1st stage.
Oct 2005	China Plant mass production supplied.
Aug 2006	Capital Increase to US$31.5 Million
Jun 2007	Mr Wen-Cheng Huang, legal representative of China Motor Corporation, is new elected Chairman of the Board after Committee Board meeting organized on 29th May 2007. Former Chairman Paul P.C. Cheng is performed as a Senior Consultant and Committee member at Gatetech Technology Inc..
May 2008	ISO-TS16949 certified , research new Aluminum die casting skill.
2009	2nd building installed at Tai-Cang facilities
2010	ISO-14001 certified
2011	Mass production Digital Camera components, Magnesium Steering Wheel ,Hydraulic brake set components .
